This week's #ClimateDictionary term is the 'UNFCCC'. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, established in 1992, is a key international treaty aimed at combating climate change. With 198 signatory parties, it's the foundation for the Paris Agreement and the Kyoto Protocol. The UNFCCC secretariat plays a vital role in facilitating global climate change negotiations, providing technical expertise, and managing the registry of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
