Christmas markets are back more exciting than before!
Among the proposals to remember, Santa Claus’ Grotto (“Vera Grotta di Babbo Natale”) is open for all children’s happiness! The grotto can be visited in Ornavasso (Ossola)
Other towns are preparing their wonderful Christmas markets such as Arona and Verbania (Lake Maggiore), Santa Maria Maggiore, Macugnaga, Domodossola and Formazza (Ossola).
Let’s admire local cribs… the mechanical living one on December 20 in Varzo (Ossola) and the super big Nativity scene exhibited November 19 – December 28 at Madonna della Guardia Sanctuary in Ornavasso (Ossola). “I presepi sull’acqua” is a magical tour among more than 40 cribs, December 7 – January 8 in Crodo (Antigorio valley). Finally do not miss “La via dei Presepi”, December 11 – January 6 in Falmenta (Cannobina valley).
Ice skating is one of the most attractive winter sports in the lakes district. Gliding fast and snaky and having fun on crystal ice helps to meet people and keep oneself moving either you are alone or with friends and your family. Arona offers a 300 sm large ice rink together with woods, cotton candy and pony tours, open until January . Let’s skate at the 500 sm rink “Verbania On Ice”, November 25 – January 15 in Verbania Pallanza
LAKE ORTA The convenient location in the public garden of the ice rink will host hundreds of skaters between December 3 – January 15 in Omegna
Traditional events will go on in our territory even after Christmas time! A lot of feasts will be organised for a St. Sylvester Night surrounded by a charming atmosphere.
