US Edition The story of Rhys Morgan, a 21-year-old student at Cardiff University, is one that will send pangs of recollection through the mind of anyone who's ever been to a house party.
Mr Morgan was at a friendly knees-up in the summer when the communal bottle opener broke. Presumably spurred on by the panic of attending a British garden get-together without the social lubricant of alcohol, Mr Morgan thought on his feet and found an ingenious method for opening bottles of booze using only a sheet of paper.

1. Lighter
A lighter is the go-to option when a corkscrew isn't available.
The only problem? No one smokes any more.
2. Teeth
Newton never got around to writing a fourth law, but if he had there's a good chance it would have stated that every house party at university will have at least one person who thinks they can open a bottle of beer with their teeth.
Normally it turns out the person will be a) delusional, and b) in need of an emergency trip to the dentist.
3. Eye socket
What could be more impressive than opening a beer bottle with your teeth?
Using your eye, of course.
4. Butt
What could be more impressive than opening a beer bottle with your eye?
Don't go there.
5. Forearm
Bit of a cheat, this one, as the man is demonstrating a technique for twist-top bottles, which are for cowards and Americans. But we like the part where he says "If you don't press very hard, this is incredibly painful."
6. Chainsaw
Forget about body parts and turn instead to an industrial tool for chopping down trees.
Looks safe.
7. Knife
First developed using a sword and a champagne bottle, this technique to slice the top off a drinking receptacle can also be used for beer.
8. iPhone
Only works if you install the Beer Opener app (£2.99).
9. CD
Rejoice! Finally a use for all those CDs you have lying around the place.
10. Door
Why didn't we think of that before?
