Kimbo Slice's sudden death Monday night at the age of 42 came after the mixed martial arts star was rushed to the hospital on June 3 having suffered congestive heart failure and a liver mass, according to information provided to the Broward County medical examiner's office by the hospital, via the Sun-Sentinel.

Slice was diagnosed with heart failure and placed on a ventilator in intensive care after being admitted to the hospital due to stomach pains, nausea and shortness of breath.

The medical examiner's report also stated that he died at 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday while being prepared for transfer to a facility in Cleveland where he could be added to an organ donor list as he was in need of a heart transplant at the time of his death.
