YAHOO! SPORTS TAKES FOOTBALL FANS INSIDE THE HUDDLE WITH A FULL WEEKEND OF PRE-GAME PROGRAMS

Re-Launched Yahoo! Sports Site Brings Unique Content, Sports Personalities and Real-Time Event Coverage to Fans Online

Sunnyvale, CA -- Jan. 20, 2003 -- Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - News), a leading global Internet company, today announced a variety of interactive Yahoo! Sports programs that will get fans fired up for one of the year's biggest sports weekends. Online programs slated to go live this week include a TV-style video Webcast that will preview Sunday's game, an interactive poll and a dynamic look at the picks and perspectives of former championship game MVPs.

Site Relaunch
Sunday's game is the first major sporting event since Yahoo! Sports (http://sports.yahoo.com) launched its redesigned site on Friday, January 17. The site has expanded both visually and contextually, and now features a more interactive look and feel, new personalization tools and a wealth of original content. Specific new features on the site include a new search capability; more graphics and photos; new team and player profile pages; and further integration with other properties on the Yahoo! network.

Thanks to the new features on Yahoo! Sports, users will be able to fully personalize their sports news and scores, and follow their favorite teams and players in more detail. The "My Teams" application enables fans to customize scoreboards on the Yahoo! Sports front page and within each sports content area. In addition, integration with other Yahoo! properties will allow users to receive score alerts through mobile devices and add games of interest to their daily calendar.

SportStream Webcast
"SportStream", a one-hour video Webcast, will begin airing on Friday, January 24 and feature Craig James and Daryl Johnston, both of whom have served as Yahoo! Sports football analysts throughout the past season. This preview Webcast comes on the heels of last month's popular "Craig James Show," the first video Webcast of its kind produced by Yahoo! Sports.

During the Webcast Daryl Johnston and Craig James, Yahoo! Sports' football analysts, will interview leading football pundits, players and coaches, and discuss Sunday's match-up and other breaking pro football news. Fans can take part in the Webcast by emailing questions about the game to Johnston and James prior to the show -- starting Tuesday -- on the Yahoo! Sports site.

Former MVPs
In addition, the third component of Yahoo! Sports' weekend-long celebration gives fans a rare look at the personal perspectives and predictions of former pro football greats. Former gridiron stars, including Larry Czonka and Desmond Howard, share their thoughts about what it took for them to reach the pinnacle, as well as their predictions for this year's top player.

"Our hope is that all of the programs this week will combine to give football fans across the country an interactive and dynamic preview of the year's biggest game," said Brian Grey, director of Yahoo! Sports. "It will also showcase the exciting new features that fans of any sport can find on our re-launched site, including enhanced personalization tools, more original content and new search functionalities."

Yahoo! Sports Experts
Daryl Johnston, Yahoo! Sports' pro football analyst, was one of football's premier blocking fullbacks during an 11-year pro career -- and also a key member of three championship teams. Johnston is currently a network color commentator and has provided weekly audio and written pro football analysis for Yahoo! Sports since August 2002. For the past six years Craig James, the former college and pro star, has served as both a pro and college football broadcaster. In 2002 became Yahoo! Sports' exclusive college football analyst.

A long-time advertiser with Yahoo! Sports, Pepsi will have a presence in many aspects of the Yahoo! Sports promotional campaign this week. Pepsi has also signed on as the re-launch sponsor for Yahoo! Sports' pro football content area.
