Royal United Services Institute (2007)

Paul Dixon was jointly organised, with the Royal United Services Institute, a sell-out conference called 'Hearts and Minds? British Counterinsurgency from Malaya to Iraq' held at RUSI in London on 21 September 2007.

Henry Jackson Society, Cambridge and London (2005-present)

Marko Attila Hoare is European Neighbourhood Section Director for the Henry Jackson Society, a think tank promoting democratic geopolitics. In this capacity, and before that in the capacity of Greater Europe Section Co-Director, he has been writing monthly reports on the Balkans, Caucasus, Turkey and other countries in the vicinity of Europe, since the Henry Jackson Society was founded in 2005.

Geneva based Small Arms Survey (2004-2006)

Collaboration with BICC and SAS on a research project on refugee militarisation in Africa. The project was jointly managed by Edward Mogire and conducted in four countries, with 63,000 Swiss Francs funding from BICC and SASA.

Bonn International Centre for Arms Conversion (2003-2006)

Edward Mogire was a Ford Foundation post-doc fellow at BICC in 2003. During this period he conducted and published a report on refugee flows and the proliferation of small arms and light weapons. The fellowship also included leadership training and participating in in-house and international conferences.

Institute of Contemporary History, Belgrade (1999-2001)

Marko Attila Hoare was based in the period from April 1999 to January 2001 at the Institute of Contemporary History, Belgrade, a research institute focusing on the modern history of Serbia. The Institute for Contemporary History supported him in the writing of his own doctoral dissertation.

Institute of History, Sarajevo (1997-present)

Marko Attila Hoare has collaborated since 1997 with colleagues from the Institute of History, Sarajevo, a research institute focusing on the history of Bosnia-Hercegovina. He has worked with them at conferences and contributed to their journal, 'Prilozi' ('Contributions').
