NYPD horse gets spooky look for Halloween

This NYPD mounted unit isn’t horsing around.
A police horse named “Hero” got all decked out in spooky, skeletal paint for Halloween.
Cops said it’s the first time Hero’s dressed up for the holiday — but he prefers apples to chocolate and candy.
Hero is named for Police Officer Dennis Guerra, a 38-year-old dad-of-four who died in a 2014 Coney Island blaze sparked by a fire-obsessed teen.
The horse has been on the job for three years at PSA 1 in Brooklyn and will be patrolling the Halloween Parade in the West Village Wednesday — but not in the spooky costume.
