This article will help you program your DISH remote to control your TV or another device like a DVD player or audio system. This article is most helpful if you just got a new TV or other device, or if the volume button on your remote control isn't working.
See the instructions below for Hopper-family receivers:
Program your DISH remote to a TV or another device.
From your receiver's Menu, select "Settings." Select "Remote Control."
Choose the desired device. Select the pairing wizard.
Choose your device brand, and then "Next." Your receiver will begin testing a pairing code for your device brand.
To test the code, press the Volume Up button on your remote. If you are programming to a device other than your TV, press the Power button.
If the remote works, select "Finished." If the remote does not work, select "Try Next Code."
Repeat to test additional codes until you find the correct one for your device.
