Ben Heine is a Belgian visual artist known best for his “Pencil Vs Camera” and “Digital Circlism” works. This piece reminds me of street chalk drawings, except more innovating.

This piece depicts a man walking and holding a drawing in front of him that gives the illusion of being close to falling. In the drawing is the man’s right foot on top of a platform and underneath are similar platforms of different sizes.

This piece reminds me of street chalk drawings and innovates creativity. The first Principle of Media Art used is Hybridization, “Vertigo” combines hand drawn drawings and photography to give the illusion that what ever is drawn is actually there. The piece also demonstrates Point of View, by having a first person viewpoint, it enhances the illusion of entering a “hand drawn world”.
