National Council: Ukrainian TV and radio companies not giving equal conditions to presidential candidates
Dec 3, 2009 at 16:33 | Interfax-UkraineAccording to the national council, four companies exceeded the allotted time for political advertising, while eleven companies failed to identify advertising as political. Moreover, eleven companies allotted broadcasting time without having the necessary contracts between the TV company and the manager of the current account of the election fund of a presidential candidate. Moreover, in some cases payment for advertising wasn't transferred to the accounts of television and radio companies.
Four companies didn't follow the principle of giving equal conditions to all candidates, the press service of the national council reported.
The national council will transfer data from its monitoring of the observation of election legislation to the Central Election Commission. Presidential candidates will be given the opportunity to view the data.
