Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko, who is running for a second term in office, has said that there is a real threat of administrative pressure being applied during the counting of votes at the presidential election.
He said this at a press conference in Buchach, Ternopil region, on Monday.
"There is a high threat of administrative pressure," the president said.
According to him, the highest threat of falsification in the first round will proceed from the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko.
"The highest threat will proceed from the BYT," Yuschenko claimed.
According to the head of the state, "the issue on falsification" in the first round doesn't concern presidential candidate and leader of the Regions Party Viktor Yanukovych, because this candidate will enter the second round in any case.
Yuschenko also said that he knows of falsification techniques, including a procedure entitled "River."
The president explained that this procedure consists of the falsification of a number of votes at several polling stations so as to collect two million votes, which will help one political force to come to power.
Yuschenko also said that the Security Service of Ukraine is investigating this issue at present.
