Central Election Commission cuts expenditure on presidential election by Hr 17.3 million

Commission Deputy Chairwoman Zhanna Usenko-Chorna said that the decision was taken because the number of registered presidential candidates is 18, while 30 had been expected to participate in the election.
In particular, the commission reduced spending on media services by Hr 6.8 million, on the production of information posters by Hr 4.6 million, and on election campaigning by Hr 5.8 million.
Usenko-Chorna said that a total of Hr 1.314 billion is required to hold the presidential election, including Hr 192.2 million in 2009 and Hr 1.122 billion in 2010.
