Horrendous customer support

Horrendous customer support - I can produce evidence of all paper trails - promise things but they do not deliver - do not reply to emails and play dumb hoping silence will make you go away - abysmal documentation and explanations - expensive - do not put out of offices on when people you deal with are absent - absolute PONY!

Shady business practices

A member of our account management team contacted them trying to get information at the request of a client. This team member was sent a reseller docusign and clicked accept without reading... Good news is our multi-check process caught it when an invoice showed up. We immediately contacted them to get this sorted out with proper assessment from the GRC team. We questioned some items in the reseller agreement and ActivTrak resorted back to nothing can be changed since a deal was booked. When I pressed on that a team member was not authorized to enter into this type of agreement, they went back to the agreement states that signing means that person has the authorization to sign.

In the end they were not willing to have what I consider a partnership conversation to try and form a longer relationship. The head of channel that I was working with basically took the attitude of it wasn't his problem as my employee is the one who did something wrong. The ironic part is they did this over the initial 20ish license purchase. We have over 30,000 end users we support. So missed opportunity for them.

We will not be renewing or doing any future business with them.

Dodge company

Dodge company. I took a few user accounts in year one and paid in full. I found a better option which is way cheaper and more productive than ActivTrak.I stopped using activtak in year one. Second-year comes they took payment without my consent I wasn't informed in email. Apparently, guys name real idiot refuse to do a refund. I'm going ahead for a chargeback. What a bad experience. How can a company draw money without informing?

ActivTrak was okay

ActivTrak was okay, however we asked to cancel or we might move to a smaller license count as the software just isn’t that useful, there’s so many other ways to manage productivity.

Their accounts team were incredibly rude and tried to bill us for 3x the requested license count. After I said this was wrong they said it didn’t matter because they had already billed it, and refused to discuss it. Shocking service.

You’ll never have a real account manager either as they seem to have an issue retaining staff. Perhaps focus on your people skills a bit more?

Terrible company to deal with

Terrible company to deal with! We did not use Activetrack due to COVID obviously, lost employees, we never received a reminder that this was coming up. They refuse to cancel even if you tell them that you don't need the system right now, they have hidden policies, they charge your credit card without your consent! for this I say go to the competitor. They clearly don't care about customer satisfaction at all.

Simply not recommended at ALLL!!

Simply not recommended at ALLL!!! credit card charged on auto renewal without any further sign up and no possibility to cancel because once charged they just don’t care and you will never get a refund back! Looked everyone in the account and there is no where you can see to remove the credit card, but still they have it once you put it in 1 time and they charge you the auto renewal without any authorization.. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Fraudulent consumer practices on website - stay away from this product.

The sales materials very clearly state $10 per person. You click on that option and then the total goes up to $50 becuase you have to have 5 seats minimum. If you go ahead and purchase, your bill is $600 becuase they charge you annually and DONT WARN YOU.
If you try to deal with customer service, there isnt any. Their sales team is terrible and rude. They will not give refunds even if their website is MISLEADING.

Scam service

You should not use this service, here is why :

Subscribing is very easy and automatic, and taking a paid plan (billed annually) is also automatic and instantaneous. But if you want to delete your account, or simply downgrade your paid plan, it's no longer automatic, you must send an email and hope for an answer... They are not ashamed of explaining this on their own website here, just type "activtrak.com Upgrade Downgrade or Cancel a Paid Plan", you will find the article.

Also given their lack of ethic in account management and billing, I would suggest caution before to install a tracking software on any computer you own.

Buyer beware!

agree with previous reviews. Buyer beware. Free trial, then sign up. But then credit card charged on auto renewal without any further sign up and no possibility to cancel because by that point, T&Cs don't allow cancellation. No ability to easily cancel on the website without further confirming as mandatory field agree to these terms! In my opinion, one of the most ethically challenged approaches I've seen and I'll never use them, but legal in the UK for small business clients as consumer protection doesn't apply. I've wondered if indicative of the level of cancellations that they get and want to extract a further year income even if bad reviews. Buyer beware!

maybe it was bad timing or maybe just…

maybe it was bad timing or maybe just bad luck. but since day one i have had an issue, when the original issue was fixed they had a server issue and lost tracking completely on all computers, was instructed after it was fixed i have to reinstall on to all computers. wouldnt be as bad but i now have no way to install it onto the computers as they are off site. so i now have to purchase other software to remote into the computers and install the newer version. which i still can not find on the website. so far i am very unhappy.

Apparently not the only one being scammed!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one being scammed by them and their auto-renewal. I've also tried to cancel and it's been 10 days with no response. I'm opening a chargeback on my card.
Their customer service has been MIA since I tried to cancel. Horrifying

Product never worked well or synced to…

Product never worked well or synced to devices. We asked to cancel midway through the contract as we had not used it at all for 5 months and they held firm, charging us in full eventhough they knew we were not using it. Not great service. Just do right by your clients. Why hold our feet to the fire for a few bucks. Bad business culture to do that when you know we were not using it.

The worst company

Look elsewhere. Like others have said they will not notify you prior to auto-renewal and you will be stuck with them for another year.

Frustrating Renewal Issue of Activtrak

I had a subscription that extended for an additional year due to an automatic renewal, without in my attention. To my surprise, I received an email notification today indicating that the subscription has been renewed, but the payment was unsuccessful. However, I had no intention of continuing the subscription, as I no longer need. Unfortunately, I failed to notice their reminder email sent a month ago. At present, I request a full cancellation on the first days of their new period, but they don't confirm, moreover they have conveyed the possibility of pursuing legal action, which I find disproportionate. As a customer, it is disheartening to observe a SaaS provider insisting on renewing when the customer does not want to do so. It is imperative for them to enhance their billing policy, as adopting a confrontational stance ultimately benefits no one.

I have been using Activtrak for 3 years…

I have been using Activtrak for 3 years now. It is much better than competitors. I dissect productivity, can check every 15-minut interval of every hour with main focus for this time. This is super useful.
Also, a big fan of grouping. I added 3pcs into one group(1 person works on them) and see all the insights in one place. Nowhere i could find this feature.

I have to admit

I have to admit, for a free version, this ain't too shabby. The features all work reliably. It doesn't seem to slow down my system even when using the live feed which is great except that it times out. It is easy to use and set up.
Great tool to protect your business and for a parent to monitor a child's activities online without having to stand over their shoulder. Wish I had access to something like this when I was getting a divorce to prove certain nefarious online activities of the ex with pics as proof! Employers could easily trace activities on shared pc's such as stealing sales from another employee or workplace sabotage.

Amazing piece of software!

Amazing piece of software. Light yet powerful. No PC disruption or bandwidth consumption. It just WORKS! The SQL data access is fantastic and works beautifully along with Tableau. Really helps to identify KPI's throughout the organization. It's a no-brainer.
