The Art of Hosting:

How to Make Charcuterie

Here’s the scenario… you invited friends over for an actual, honest-to-goodness, dinner party but you forgot to make an appetizer. The answer to all your troubles is a charcuterie board. Join our Brand Director Stephanie for her tips to put together a pair of fancy-schmancy, “keep your guests snacking while you put the finishing touches on dinner” charcuterie boards.

What You’ll Need

  • 2x Cutting boards for serving
  • Cheese assortment (brie, gouda, cheddar are what we used)
  • Salami
  • Prosciutto
  • Dried apricots
  • Marcona almonds (we used the truffle flavored ones!)
  • Red grapes
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Honey (for drizzling)
  • Crackers

Our Easy Tips

  • We love dividing the two boards between the meat-centered one and the fruit and nut-centered one. That way the meat-eaters and vegetarians can all coexist peacefully!
  • Consider the colors of the food you’ll be serving when choosing cutting boards. Remember, they’re the canvas for your beautiful food art.
  • Amplify the flavor and sweetness of cut grapes with a light dusting of flaky sea salt.
  • Use the blocks of cheese as barriers to help keep unruly nuts from tumbling off your charcuterie boards.
  • Once the boards are assembled, drizzle honey over the cheese to give it an extra sweet layer of flavor. The name of the game is salty-sweet, people!

And that’s it—so easy right? And the best part of all is you can check out our full collection of party-approved decor and serving essentials below.
