Does a winky face ALWAYS mean sex?

As a girl (19), I always realized a winky face was flirty but didn't realize it had to be sexual. If someone I'm into has texted me and used a winky face in talking about plans we're making, is that almost clearly sexual or could it still be more romantic (if that makes sense?)

EDIT: also, is it almost a surefire sign that he's into me (at least in some way) or not?

Totally depends on context. Could be flirty, could be sexual, could just be teasing you

Context is key. It could be something as part of a joke, could be a flirt, or anything else, really.

I use winky faces in texting all the time to female friends. Usually it's just to take the edge off of something that might not be an obvious joke.

I guess it would depend on context. Also, probably completely different for 19 year olds.

It depends on the context. For example if he says, "I can't wait to see you, it's going to a fun weekend ;)"

And that doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be expecting sex btw. He could be just flirting in a sexual way.

Nothing always means anything. It could just be flirty. Although, you realize that flirty=romance=sexual, right? If someone is flirting with you, even playfully, there's a sexual undertone there.

Too subjective to pinpoint a definite meaning. It seems, at the very least, an open door, a possibility to go further, or it could mean nothing much other than a friendly image.

Who the hell winks at people? I only see that in movies. I hope no one winks at me cause I find it creepy.
