Elevate Psychiatry - Brickell

My husband recommended Chris Lee as a psychiatric nurse practitioner per friends' recommendations, and I did not hesitate for a moment. Being in a medical field myself, I observed NPs in general having a different approach rather than doctors. Chris did not disappoint- he took his time to listen and carefully created a treating plan that fits my needs. The office is conveniently located in Brickell, and staff validates your parking for free. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Elevate psychiatry offers follow ups using a mobile app similar to how facetime/skype work, which saves you a trip or two.

I will continue recommending the facility and Chris Lee in particular to friends in need.

My mom confided in her psychiatrist that she has been heavily drinking for months. The doctor encouraged her to detox at home which can be deadly. She was drunk during her session and based off of what she told me, the dr did not question her sobriety.
She's intubated now in ICU from suffering a seizure due to neglectful and harmful advice from a supposed medical professional at this practice. She trusted elevate psychiatry to help save her and it did something worse.

Elevate psychiatry is absolutely amazing! Polina Dasgupta is so precise and clear in explaining medication interactions. She respects that I want as little medication as possible for treatment and is always providing natural suggestions like ice therapy and the importance of exercise to reduce anxiety. I am so grateful for this practice! I have not felt as much like myself as I have in over 10 years! I love the Elevate cloud option which allows you virtual visits! Absolutely the best psychiatry ever and I've tried many. Thank you Polina you're amazing!

I had hope for this office since I moved to MIA, every single time there's an issue with my visits, the "doctor" is not knowledgeable and doesn't take seriously my symptoms which I've constantly explained in detail in many different ways from past experiences that I had addressed to my previous doctor (an actual psychiatrist who went to school and it's more than capable and prepared how to address, treat and evolve with clear communication and next steps to look forward. My medications are sent to another pharmacy so I had to keep calling back them to fix them (even after 6 months). The PA that used to treat me has a tendency to try holistic ways such as supplements that don't specifically work and keeps sending more of them for several months even after explaining in detail how critical it's for us as patients to address certain issues even if it is for a specific amount of time.

I want to really communicate to folks to be weary of this place. I had a very negative interaction with my medication and was basically told to "wait until our next session" when it was clear by me and my mental health counselor that the issue needed to be rectified within a few days.

Further they are very fast to over prescribe and I take issue with that. I believe certain medications shouldn't be prescribed if holistic medicine is working for someone. If others have had positive experiences here I'm so happy for you, because mental health services are crucial. But I have not and will be seeking medical services elsewhere.

Dr. Polina is the best doctor I have ever had. She listens to you, and also wants what's best for YOU. Her recommendations have changed my life for the better. If you're questioning rather or not to trust a psychiatrist or afraid of meds, talk to her. She will make sure you are safe and that your plan is long term for your best interest

Polina Dasgupta PA takes the time to listen and empathize with a patient's situation and is incredibly supportive. I recommend Polina and Elevate Psychiatry without reservation.

Went 3 days without my medication because they couldn't figure out how to send the prescription to the right pharmacy. Very unorganized.

Honestly not the worst psychiatrist office I've been too. Dr. Bhatia is a very good psychiatrist and they accommodated me while I moved to South Carolina while I searched for a provider closer to me. However, his physician assistant is awful. Polina truly made me hate my appointments and never truly addressed anything I ever said to her. Our appointments were about 10 minutes in length every time which isn't sufficient enough in my opinion and also, she was plain out rude every time and never addressed my issues I had. Feel like the appointments were very frequent and short as a money grabber (my opinion though) Keeps you on medications even though you expressed you don't like them and doesn't really assess your issues you're having with mental health. As I appreciate everything Dr. Bhatia has done for me as he is a great person and psychiatrist, his staff makes the practice dreadful.. If you go here make sure not to go to Polina as she was very unpleasant and rude and not a good psychiatric treater.
