You have to taste this to realize what you're missing. We are being lied to maaaaan! American soy sauce now tastes like salt water to me. This Japanese soy sauce has more depth to the flavor. Insanely good! The bottle has a pull off plastic seal that creates a pour spout (see pic). The bottle is plastic and holds 33.8 FL oz. / 1 Liter.

I'm Asian, and I like to cook a lot of Asian food. I rely heavily on soy sauce in a lot of my dishes. I don't like to buy those little bottles of soy sauce you see at the grocery store, because they are very expensive for very little soy sauce, and they don't have the right taste. I call that stuff "White People Soy Sauce."

This one is legit. It's a big bottle. It's relatively cheap. It tastes great.

One small benefit is the Japanese lettering on the label lends to the authenticity of your cooking ability to your friends and family. I don't know anyone realized, but the Kikkoman Soy Sauce that's sold in most grocery stores is actually made in Wisconsin. This stuff is actually made in Japan!

When I eat something containing soy sauce, I know it's not a health food, but I don't need it to be needlessly toxic. So many other brands contain additives like sodium benzoate, which are completely unacceptable, and frankly, ought to be banned. This soy cause contains a minimalist set of ingredients, and comes from a country (Japan) where genetic engineering is frowned upon. The result is a high quality product that makes our dishes taste far better than the soy sauce that can be found in local retailers.

I ordered this out of curiosity more than anything else. And I am honestly amazed at the difference between this, the "real" Japanese Kikkoman sauce and the standard American made grocery store version. This is MUCH mellower, less salty, much richer and much more flavorful. This actually tastes of soy instead of salt. I'm VERY impressed! Bet I don't use the American version again. AND the price for this through Amazon is lower than the price for the US version in the grocery store, at least where I live.

I'm officially a convert. If you have doubts, get it anyway. You won't be disappointed.

This bottle is too big to go in my cabinets, but I love Kikkoman soy sauce and I am brand loyal. I use a lot of it in my marinades as well as for jerky, Chinese food and other recipes. Is consistently good, and the strength is predictable.
This bottle has a easy flip cap and is easy to hold and dispense. It is a plastic bottle. I am happy to get it in a large size because I hate to run out.

It is salty; if you are new to cooking with it, it can pay to add salt to taste after the soy sauce. When we have fried rice, I skip all regular salt and use the soy sauce to provide it.
