Bentiu Diocese Congregation Lifestyle in Bentiu POC

Bentiu Protection of Civilian site (POC) was created by united Nation as result of 2013 and 2016 south Sudanese Crisis. The site is now hosting one hundred and eighty thousand Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS. 180,000). It is one of the Biggest camp among the six camps in the whole South Sudan Nation. The IDPS are in and out waiting the final stages of the Khartoum revitalized peace Agreement signed by the south Sudanese Warring Parties in 2018. THis is the Only hope of South Sudanese Communities to have Final Peace in their Beloved Country.

All Denominations or Churches are also hosted by the Camp to help humanitarian Agency of comforting these desperate and traumatized society. We thanks the Warring parties for carrying forward the implementation process forward well. We continuous praying to God specials protection for these congested Communities during this COVID-19 Crisis.

Rt Rev John Gattek and Diocesan Clergy

Episcopal Church of the South Sudan Diocese of Bentiu is one of the 52 Diocese of ECSS South Sudan Province. It is also Amongst the Six Diocese of Upper Nile Internal Province in the recently Internal Province Arrangement.

Bentiu Diocese was founded as areas diocese in 20.12.2009, with consecration of the Rt .Rev John Gattek Wallam. Again the Diocese was elevated into full Diocesan Level in the provincial standing Committee meeting of 2013 in Bor. Rt. Rev John Gattek is the Current Diocesan Bishop of Bentiu Diocese after Diocese Inauguration exercise was done on 20th of December 2017.
