We use strategic legal action, education and advocacy to fight for justice and real change.
About us
The National Justice Project is a grassroots not-for-profit legal service fearlessly fighting injustice. Alongside our courageous clients, we hold governments to account and advocate for permanent policy and law reform to help eradicate systemic discrimination. With a focus on First Nations health justice, police misconduct, prisons and youth detention and justice for refugees and asylum seekers, NJP also tackles systemic discrimination through its client-centred advocacy, education programs and collaborative partnerships.

It’s a privilege to be working with NJP and the Haines family on an important exercise in truth telling in North-West NSW
Warning: This post includes the name of a First Nations person who has passed away. It has been an honour and privilege to to work with the Haines family over the last 2 weeks at the inquest into the death of their brother, Mark Haines. While the matter has been adjourned until the end of the year, we see this as a positive as it will ensure that Mark's death is afforded a thorough investigation. We thank you all for your support of the Haines family and all the work we do.
