ECR Workshop : Positive Peer Review

Peer review – our careers’ depend on it, but it is another always easy to write concise, astute and useful manuscript reviews. Do you struggle to balance critical comments with positive encouragement? Do you wonder when to recommend ‘major revisions’ or ‘reject’? What confidential comments should you provide to the Editor? These are just some of the topics we will cover in this two hour workshop for early career researchers (PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows, Early Faculty (<5 years from appointment)) during the upcoming CSZ conference in Moncton, NB, May 6-10th. The Journal of Experimental Biology is sponsoring this event on Thursday May 9th 1:00-3:00pm. JEB Editors will lead small group discussions.

To sign up, check the box for ECR Workshop on the CSZ Registration form. We have spaces for 25 ECRs and selection will be first come-first serve.
