Zusammenfassung

Der Karriereweg und auch die damit verbundenen Unterschiede in der pro- und kontraorganisationalen Leistungserbringung unterscheiden Narzissten, Machiavellisten und Psychopathen erkennbar vom Normalarbeitnehmer. Während die Betrachtung von Arbeitsrollendefinitionen, die Wahrnehmung von Anreizstrukturen sowie unterschiedliche mikropolitische Taktiken Auskunft über ihr Wirken gibt, reagieren sie darüber hinaus unterschiedlich auf Misserfolg und Stress. Bemerkenswert bleiben dabei die Hinweise auf funktionale Aspekte der dunklen Attribute z. B. im Vertrieb oder der schnellere und erfolgreichere Aufstieg in Führungspositionen.
