Ascospore sculpturing in Morchella (Ascomycetes: Pezizales)

Publication: Canadian Journal of Botany
August 1973

Abstract

Ascospore sculpturing is reported for the first time in the genus Morchella. The species of Morchella and the family Morchellaceae had previously been considered to be characterized by smooth ascospores. The geographic distribution of collections showing this phenomenon is given, based on specimens in DAOM and TRTC.
