Yibin Kang, from Princeton University in the US, said: "People have tried to block the spread of this form of cancer but attempts so far have failed because if you try one approach, the cancer cells compensate by finding a way to escape.
"Collaboration between academic institutions, industry and other organizations is critical when it comes to elucidating the inner workings of cancer," Rutgers Cancer Institute Associate Director for Consortium Research
