This study interprets the discourse on polygamy recommendations for cadres of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) which is framed in national online news media. The national media selected as research objects are Kompas, Sindonews, and CNN Indonesia. News as the unit of analysis is the recommendation of polygamy for PKS cadres in the three online media. News is limited to 1 (one) news each, namely specifically published on September 30, 2021. The theory used to answer the discourse is the framing of Zongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. The conclusion of the study is that Kompas, Sindonews, and CNN Indonesia developed framing to disagree with the idea of polygamy for PKS cadres. The three online media construct the reality of polygamy recommended news for PKS cadres by developing framing with their respective goals. There is an ideological interest in the news construction built by the three online media

In this study, ZIF-67-based mixed matrix membrane was synthesized with a solution casting method using tetrahydrofuran as the solvent. The as-synthesized ZIF-67 was characterized using PXRD, TGA, ATR-FTIR, and BET analysis for the surface area measurements. The minimum 3 wt% loading of ZIF-67 was incorporated within a hydrophobic polymer to evaluate the CO2 adsorption performance of ZIF-67. The stability of ZIF-67 in pure water and inorganic solvents was investigated. The maximum CO2 adsorption of the ZIF-67 mixed-matrix membrane (MMM) was 0.5 mmol/g at 273 K, which is higher than that of the pure polymer. The fabricated ZIF-67-based mixed-matrix membrane showed higher CO2 capture even at lower MOF loading using THF. The current study highly recommends the combination of hydrophobic polysulfone and a water-stable ZIF-67 for CO2 capture from wet flue gases.

Abstract The Ag 2 SnO 3 nanoparticles were prepared by a simple and cost-effective chemical reduction method. Here we present the electrochemical conversion of CO 2 to formate in aqueous electrolyte media at pH 6.8. The two-compartment cell (H type cell) was used for electrochemical measurements. The absorption maxima, the energy bandgap, surface morphology, catalytic composition, crystallinity, crystallite size, crystal facet, and electrochemical activity of the electrocatalyst were probed. The linear sweep voltammetry was used to record the polarization curve/current response. The catalyst shows porous/sponge-like morphology. The electrochemical results show higher current density (~26 mA/cm 2 ), long term stability, product selectivity, and higher faradaic efficiency (FE) on the bimetallic electrocatalyst electrode. The highest FE for the only liquid product (formate) was 89% at –1.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl with a Tafel slope of 174 mV/decade. The faradaic efficiency was found high as compared to the monometallic (Ag, Sn) nanoparticles. The high FE and product selectivity indicate the synergistic effect between these metals.

System availability is one of the crucial properties of a dependable knowledge repository system in order to preserve and pull through from minor outages in a short timespan by an automated process. National Marine Bioinformatics System or NABTICS is a Marine Microbial Bigdata Repository that unites the integrated information on genomic sequence and associated metadata which projected to be a large and growing database as well as a metadata system for inputs of research analysis and solving community issues. Therefore, it is decisive to maintain the availability of the system by accurately detecting the failure in a timely manner and a prompt recovery action during the event of failure. The failure in any of NABTICS' system component can be devastating for the system causing the system is inaccessible for a period of time. In this paper, we integrated NABTICS with Cloud-based Neighbour Replication and Failure Recovery (NRFR) in order to enhance the availability of the system. We...

Bauxite ore was collected from Khyber Pakhtun Khawa (KPK), Pakistan for extraction of aluminum in the form of aluminum hydroxide. The ore consists of 31.11% aluminum and other minerals (SiO2, Fe2O3, Na2O, CaO) was leached with alkaline solution. The aluminum extraction in the form of aluminum hydroxide from the clear solution in filtrate was successfully done by different processes involving autoclave, centrifuge and solvent extraction while the red mud in the form of residue was separated and recycled. The recycling process of iron from red mud was divided into roasting magnetic recovery, the reducing smelting method for iron separation. After extraction the composition of Al, Fe, Si, and Ca were determined from aluminum hydroxide and red mud both by chemical and spectrophotometric analysis. The compound was further characterized by FT-IR and results showed that a considerable amount of aluminum in the form of aluminum hydroxide was extracted along with other minerals.

Uptake of hexavalent chromium (Cr VI) using dead biomass of green algae, Spirogyra spp. to evaluate biosorption capacity with special emphasis on its mechanistic aspect was studied. Optimum biosorption of Cr (VI) was observed at pH 4.0 (265mg/g), biomass concentration of 1mg/g, and temperature 303K.Various adsorption isotherms were employed to analyze the experimental data of which Langmuir isotherm was found most suitable, showing monolayer adsorption. Pseudo-second order model was found suitable for the kinetic interpretation of the data. Various thermodynamic parameters were calculated and the biosorption was found to be spontaneous, endothermic and feasible under the given conditions. Analysis of FTIR spectra indicated the presence and role of electronegative functional groups on algal surface responsible for binding of Cr (VI) ions.

ABSTRACT Local beneficial rhizobacteria were selected based upon their ability to control the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici which causes crown and root rot of tomato. Seven out of 384 strains prevailed in multiple and dual cultures and were identified as Pseudomonas chlororaphis (one strain), Bacillus cereus (one strain), Serratia marcescens (three strains) and Serratia rubidaea (two strains), by sequencing the 16S rRNA or the 16S and 23S rRNA inter-spacer region. The seven selected rhizobacteria were tested for their biocontrol and growth-promoting effects in planta, and their antifungal properties in vitro. All strains significantly reduced disease severity under controlled conditions, in a gnotobiotic system and in pots. Moreover, one P. chlororaphis and one S. marcescens strain significantly decreased disease severity to the level of the healthy control under natural conditions in pots experiments. The inhibitory activity of bacterial liquid cultures' metabolites on the fungus was demonstrated for all strains in vitro, using filter paper, thin layer chromatography and microtiter bioassays. Genes encoding phenazines were tentatively detected by PCR in the P. chlororaphis strain and chitinase-encoding genes were detected in one S. rubidaea and all three S. marcescens strains. Production of phenazine-1-carboxamide and hydrogen cyanide was evidenced for the P. chlororaphis strain while protease activity and production of siderophore-like compounds was confirmed in all bacterial strains. Possible use of these strains as biological control agents and their impact on natural biocontrol of pathogens in soils is discussed.

Brevibacterium linens DSM 20158 is an industrially important actinobacterium which is well-known for the production of amino acids and enzymes. However, as this strain has an unsequenced genome, there is no detailed information regarding its proteome although another strain of this microbe, BL2, has a shotgun genome sequence. However, this still does not cover the entire scope of its proteome. The present study is carried out by first identifying proteins by homology matches using the Mascot search algorithm followed by an advanced approach using de novo sequencing and MS BLAST to expand the B. linens proteome. The proteins identified in the secretome and cellular portion appear to be involved in various metabolic and physiological processes of this unsequenced organism. This study will help to enhance the usability of this strain of B. linens in different areas of research in the future rather than mainly in the food industries. The present study describes the construction of the first detailed proteomic reference map of B. linens DSM 20158 with unsequenced genome by comparative proteome research analysis. This opens new horizons in proteomics to understand the role of proteins involved in the metabolism and physiology of other organisms with unsequenced genomes.

Corynebacterium glutamicum is an authenticated microorganism that supports amino acid production consistent with dietary importance. Fermentation parameters like temperature, agitation speed, and carbon source concentration were optimized using response surface methodology. Surface response model suggested that optimal fermentation parameters including 30°C, 50 g/L glucose concentration, and shaking speed of 120 rpm furnished 14.2 g/L of glutamic acid and 5.1 g/L lysine, comparable with the predicted values. After optimizing fermentation parameters in shake flasks, the fermentation kinetics was studied in a stirred fermenter. The kinetic study revealed that the substrate consumption rate achieved a maximum level of 3.36 g/L/hour between 12 and 18 hours; afterwards, it decreased and fell to 1.9 g/L/hour. Average biomass yield over a period of 48 hours was 0.337 g/L; however, maximum biomass yield of 0.51 g/L was noted between 10 and 20 hours. Overall molar yield coefficient of CO2 ( ...

The Tamarix dioica (T. dioica) is widely used medicinal plant to cure many chronic ailments. T. dioica is being used to manage diabetes mellitus in traditional medicinal system; however, very little scientific evidence is available on this plant in this context. The current study involves the fractionation of crude methanolic extract of T. dioica using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform, and n-butanol. The screening for antioxidant activity using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay was carried out. The in vitro antidiabetic potential was assessed by measuring α-glucosidase inhibition. Total phenolic and flavonoid contents were also determined for each fraction. The metabolites were identified using highly sensitive and emerging 1H-NMR technique. The results revealed the ethyl acetate fraction as the most potent with DPPH scavenging activity of 84.44 ± 0.21% and α-glucosidase inhibition with IC50 value of 122.81 ± 2.05 µg/mL. The total phenolic and flavonoid content values of...

This work estimates the potential of banana pseudo-stem with high cellulosic content 42.2-63 %, for the production of fermentable sugars for lactic acid production through statistically optimized pretreatment method. To evaluate the catalyzed pretreatment efficiency of banana pseudo stem based on the enzymatic digestibility, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was employed for the optimization of pretreatment temperature and time using lowest concentrations of H2SO4, NaOH, NaOH catalyzed Na2S and Na2SO3 that seemed to be significant variables with P<0.05. High F and R2 values and low p-value for hydrolysis yield indicated the model predictability. The optimized condition for NaOH was determined to be conc. 1 %, temperature 130 oC for 2.6 hr; Na2S; conc. 1 %, temperature 130 oC for 2.29 hr; Na2SO3; conc. 1 %, temperature 130 oC for 2.41 hr and H2SO4; conc. 1 %, temperature 129.45 oC for 2.18 hr, produced 84.91 %, 85.23 %, 81.2 % and 76.02 % hydrolysis yield, respectively. Sulphuric...

Synthetic drugs have widely been helpful in management of diabetes mellitus type 2. However, side effects associated with synthetic drugs serve as an impetus to explore plants as alternate mode of treatment. The hydroethanolic leaf extracts of Conocarpus erectus were evaluated for phenolic contents, flavonoid distribution, antioxidant activity and antidiabetic potential. The maximum extract yield, total phenolic and flavonoid contents were exposed by 60% ethanolic extract. The Antioxidant and anti α-glucosidase tendency of 60% ethanolic extract was the most promising and complemented by in-vivo antihyperglycemic impact on mice. The findings were substantial regarding suppression of blood glucose levels in alloxan induced diabetic mice establishing the Conocarpus erectus as proficient pool of nutraceuticals for diabetes mellitus type 2 management.

A high performance liquid chromatographic method for the simultaneous determination both qualitative and quantitative of cholesterol lowering statin drugs in pharmaceutical formulations has been developed. The most important advantage of developed method is that all seven statin drugs can be determined on a single chromatographic system without modification in detection wavelength. An organic modifier addition (25% v/v methanol) in the presence of buffer (20mM ammonium acetate; pH 4.0 adjusted with dilute acetic acid) played a key role in the resolution of statin drugs in gradient elution with acetonitrile. The drugs were separated on a Purospher Star 4.6mm × 25cm, 5μm, C18 column maintained at 25°C with 1mLmin(-1) flow rate using ultra violet detection at 240nm. Good separation (Rs > 2.5) was achieved in a short analysis allowing simultaneous determination of all seven statins. The effect of variation in flow rate, detection wavelength and column oven temperature was also studie...
