The Association of Baltic Numismatists (ABN) is an organization for scholars and students dealing with the problems of Baltic numismatics. Informal meetings of numismatists in the Baltics were initiated by Dalia Grimalauskaitė from the National Museum of Lithuania. At present ABN consist of members from Belarus, Estonia, Finland Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The current chairman is Frida Ehrnsten from the National Museum of Finland. In 2006 the ABN became a member of the International Numismatic Commission.
The aim of the ABN is to maintain the cooperation between numismatists in the Baltic countries. The Association holds an annual meeting in August, for to exchange information on recent research, new coin finds and current publications. The next challenge for the ABN will be to start publishing its own proceedings.edit
