In this work, we’re going to understand how to move from clinical experience to development of a case study. Clinical cases are the unique and interesting stories of patients, which can capture all the practicalities and trivialities behind a given condition, disease, or treatment course that are often left out from medical textbooks. Writing a clinical case means transforming theory into practice, although the researcher needs to engage his reader with a compelling narrative instead of just offering analytical data. On the other hand, providing readers with rigorous and objective data ensures that this type of qualitative (instead of quantitative) research is viewed as reliable and scientific as any other type of research.

As the trade war between the world’s superpowers continues, the global South is the one getting the short end of the stick. The economy of most African countries depends on massive exportation of raw materials, usually controlled by large foreign companies. The exploitation of the local resources, such as wood, never seems to stop, even if massive deforestation in countries such as Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia is bound to have catastrophic economic and environmental consequences.

In 2008, the Namibian government launched a pilot universal basic income project known as the Basic Income Grant (BIG). The results were amazing, with crime rates dropping by more than onethird and the number of malnourished children almost halved. In just 12 months after its launch, the BIG project showed to be more than able to actively contribute to achieving the Millennium Development Goals set by the United Nations (now known as the Sustainable Development Goals). It was a tremendous opportunity to set the foundation for a new age of prosperity for the entire African continent, and it served as a paradigm around which other similarly successful programmes have been modeled.

Comparison between fast-acting fentanyl formulations in the clinical experience of ARNAS Civico Hospital, Palermo.
Breakthrough cancer pain (BTCP) is a short-lasting, severe discomfort that occurs in 50-90% of all hospitalized cancer patients. Due to its intense, sharp, stabbing and short-lived nature (usually no more than 20-30 minutes)1 that markedly lowers patients’ quality of life, BTCP management requires a specific treatment approach with rapid-onset and short-acting opioids such as fentanyl in its diverse pharmaceutical formulations and subministration routes of that showed pain reduction in a small onset time.2 Our research team made a direct comparison to evaluate the variability of onset action time of different fentanyl preparations for the treatment of BTCP in hospitalized oncology patients.

There are numerous types of headaches, each with a unique cause, pain profile, and set of treatment options. This book offers readers a broad introduction to this common, yet often misunderstood, group of conditions.
What exactly is going on in your body during a headache? How can they be prevented or managed? How can you tell if your splitting headache is actually a brain tumor? This book provides the answers to these and many other questions.
What You Need to Know about Headaches is the latest volume in Greenwood’s Inside Diseases and Disorders series. This series profiles a variety of physical and psychological conditions, distilling and consolidating vast collections of scientific knowledge into concise, readable volumes. A list of “top 10” essential questions begins each book, providing quick-access answers to readers’ most pressing concerns. The text follows a standardized, easy-to-navigate structure, with each chapter exploring a particular facet of the topic. In addition to covering such basics as causes, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options, books in this series delve into issues that are less commonly addressed but still critically important, such as effects on loved ones and caregivers. Case illustrations highlight key themes discussed in the book and are accompanied by insightful analyses and recommendations.
Features
A holistic approach to the subject covers such often-overlooked areas as societal perceptions and impact on family and friends
An Essential Questions section provides quick answers to the questions readers are most likely to have and serves as a springboard to explore the content of the book in more detail
Case Illustrations provide relatable, real-world examples of concepts discussed in the text
An annotated Directory of Resources points readers toward useful books, organizations, and websites, acting as a gateway to further study and research

Universal healthcare may be defined as any healthcare system that ensures
at least basic coverage to most, if not all, citizens of a country. Although it
may be implemented in many ways, universal healthcare has been widely
accepted by international humanitarian organizations such as the World
Health Organization (WHO) as the best way to ensure the universal human
right to health. So why is the United States the only industrialized country
without universal healthcare? What are the political, social, and economic
factors that have prevented its successful introduction?
Universal Healthcare explores what universal healthcare is, the many forms
it can take—using examples from countries around the world—and the
tumultuous history of attempts to implement a system of universal
healthcare in the United States. Part II delves into the contentious issues
and debates surrounding adoption of universal healthcare in the United
States. Lastly, Part III provides a variety of useful materials, including case
studies, a timeline of critical events, a glossary, and a directory of
resources
