This is an article about land art that constructs habitats of refuge or survival shelters. The art of constructing forest sanctuaries, as a form of social media, is a resourcing of found materials transformed into personal and social places of significance. Amidst COVID-19 restrictions, nature became everyone's place to be and public parks were an essential common place for combining and finding a place apart to come together. What emerged in the forests of Phoenix Park, Dublin, was the construction of landmarks for protection and solace. As bushcraft and public artforms, these dens act as declarations of personal security and social constructions, occupying both a boundary and an invitation. They are landmarks for solitary pursuits and social encounters; transformative locations for introspection and the communal sharing of a forest

The purpose of this thesis is to showcase the philosophical and psychoanalytic collaboration of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari in regards to art therapy. The Deleuze and Guattari Art Therapy Assemblage is a composition that includes the environmental, relational and material elements of art therapy as contexts in which to process subjectivity. Key Deleuze and Guattari concepts will be applied to the practice of art therapy, implicating somatic and psychological processing within the production of art therapy artworks. The generative capacity of art therapy constitutes many creative sites in which to transport subjectivity. Abstract This paper aims to link art therapy practice with theory related to performance or live art. The relevance of this association is to understand the personal and social relevance of the art therapy performance piece - how art can be enacted as a rite of passage. Performance art involves a dynamic interplay of both subjectivity and social criticism. By involving the body in art, and the movement of art by the body, improvisation is taken to a new level. Non-directive art therapy practice embarks upon a level of presentation, which ignites both mind and body in a felt immediacy.

Abstract The focus of this paper is to explore the implications of body awareness and motion within the context of art therapy practice. It discusses the following: 1) the ways in which we are conditioned to ‘fit in’ to the body of culture and society, 2) how subjectivity operates as a process (moving across a series of images), 3) the role of the body as a dynamic expression of psychological material (both conscious and unconscious), 4) the art therapist's relationship to his/her own body, and 5) methods of facilitating somatic and kinesthetic awareness within art therapy.
