Abstract

Currently, there are relatively few therapeutic options that can be widely promulgated for long-term sustained weight loss, while at the same time, the rates of obesity are projected to escalate further [1–4]. These challenges make weight loss difficult for the patient with obesity. Three key points of care of the patient with obesity that the primary care provider should be aware of are:
