MANILA, Philippines —  Hot and humid weather will prevail over the country on Saturday due to the effects of easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagsa) said.

Easterlies are the winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, as explained by Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil in an early morning forecast.

(We will still experience hot and humid weather here in Metro Manila and large parts of the country due to the easterlies.)

He added that Pagasa is still not monitoring any low-pressure area that may develop into a typhoon.

(Let’s expect the chance of heavy rain with thunder and lightning caused by localized thunderstorms usually in the afternoon until the evening.)
