I found the team from projects abroad were great and ensured I was always ok. I do feel having more volunteers during my stay would have been better and made my experience different .

5 stars for Charlie in Brighton, but 2 for the team in SA who never contacted the taxi for taking me to the airport for my return flight.

An exceptional experience in ALL aspects of the trip. Projects Abroad staff in Costa Rica were simply outstanding, with Sofia being the best expedition leader we have worked with in 30 years!

The most precious experience was communicating with people living in Cambodia. I can know how they live and what they feel directly, which is so valuable to me. For example, about the traffic accidents, the gap between rich and poor, and the land trouble in the local area. I didn't learn these in the class. At the same time, I learned autonomy through this living because I strongly felt the importance of making decisions, advocating what I want, and communicating with people.

I would not have been back 6 times if I had not enjoyed my time with those of the countries that I visited. The indigenous people great which is something which could not always be said for the other voluvteers!!

Amazing organisation with the best people! The experience I had in Arusha (Tanzania) was life changing and the people I met were amazing! It is safe to say that going on a trip with Projects Abroad has been life changing. I learned so much and grew a lot socially as well. The communication was also really good and the staff was 24/7 available to help me with all my needs. I’m really hoping I get to go on another trip in a few years :)

I could try to communicate with various people around the world, and I could do everything I want such as playing my song in front of children.And I could post on YouTube and spread peaceful video.These experiences will help my life from then on.

I spoke English not well when I arrived Philippine. However, Projects Abroad’s staff supported me every time. I spend only two weeks, but I could listen many words. Additionally, they supported me about weekend. I’m senior high school student, but I appreciated to adult’s course. I was fear because I didn’t know what I could do in weekends. But they indicated me I went to island with other Japanese college students. I was pleased. Thank you for everything.

The staff members were very nice and we could contact them in every situation everyday!
And the People in Nepal are awesome!
The school was sooo welcoming and teaching the kids was an amazing experience!

Opportunity and privilege to spend time in remote Botswana and interact with wild animals, especially elephants. Ability to help the owners of the game park with improvements and daily activities which can be quite overwhelming for them.
Also an opportunity to meet and mix with people with similar attitudes and outlooks. Unfortunately, for just the two weeks I was there, the mix of people was not great. I was fortunate to enjoy my time with two other adults but the rest of the group were quite young and, at times, were not respectful of the country, customs, the camp and even their peers. I suspect it was bad luck. The next group whom I met afterwards were a much better cohort.

I had a wonderful experience on my trip with projects abroad. I come back from my trip with nothing but good things to say about the staff, the volunteering experience, the food as well as the tourism. Our guides were always ready to answer any question we had at any time during the day or even the night. I can also speak for everyone when I say that they made us feel safe and most of all welcome throughout the duration of our trip.

It was my first time experiencing traveling alone, despite that, It immediately felt like home because of it’s kind, loving people. Being able to help medically with the little knowledge I have, making children smile even if it was just by giving them stickers or playing with them,made so happy and fulfilled.
Im thankful to have had this opportunity to make a bit of change in people’s lives and mine too.

the Botswana experience has been amazing. the most beautiful thing is about being in the wild nature with other people and far from everything. Tha camp was confortable and familiar. The guides were nice and friendly. The only small inconveient was about communication with family at home. No wi fi, but it is normal in the middle of the savana.

The time I spent with Projects Abroad was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned so much, gained so much experience in the field of human rights, met the most amazing people and was lucky to see the beauty of Ghana. I cannot recommend this experience enough, it helped me grow as a person and in my career, thank you Projects Abroad for making it so memorable.

I've had an incredible experience with Projects Abroad. I've been in Tanzania for an 8 week placement in Microfinance. The project has been set up so well and the Projects Abroad team makes sure everything runs smoothly, as well as adding to the fun and making sure you stay safe! Overall it's been a fantastic experience and a real mix of learning the culture, getting involved with interesting topics, having fun and a lot of laughing. It's been great, thanks Projects Abroad!

Before never heard of Projects Abroad, we were possitively suprised by all the necisities they take care of. All questions where immediately answered and on this (exiting) trip we where warm welcomed by the team

My charity that was volunteering in March 2020 when covid hit! We have at last come to an agreement with PA re refunding our payments. 75% is to be refunded, but after the legal costs that were incurred to get this refund, it works out at about 50% refund. Still a little disappointed but relieved that we have received some of our hard raised moneyback
