Employees are automatically enrolled in the appropriate plan and are covered as of their date of hire. After five years of service, you may receive a monthly pension at retirement age. The Airports Authority pays the entire cost of the General Plan. The Police and Firefighters Plan has a 1.5% pre-tax contribution by employees.

If you save money in the 457 Plan, the Airports Authority will match up to 3% of your contributions. Matching contributions are deposited into the 401(a) Plan. Participants can invest the contributions, both their own contributions and the employer match, in a variety of investment options.
