Outlook

So far today, parts of the Salt Lake Valley up to the Idaho border have seen up to .50 to 1.00"+ of rain! An additional .25-.75" is likely to come for northern Utah by the end of the day Saturday. Central and southern Utah will range between .25-.50". Additional mountain snowfall will be roughly 4-8" in the highest spots. Sunday looks predominantly dry, but an isolated pop-up shower or storm will be possible. A weak disturbance will try to move into northern Utah Monday that may bring a few showers in the higher elevations. Temperatures will climb back to normal early next week, but from Wednesday onward, there's a lot of uncertainty with how the forecast will play out (long term models showing a 15 degree spread of potential highs). We'll keep you updated as we see more! - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 4.26.24
