We'd love your input. Since 2013, the BIAs have had a narrow but deep focus: branding. We judge work in the context for which it was designed, with 24 market-sector categories to choose from: https://lnkd.in/eNzNa7Wc In 2020, we introduced four Craft in Branding categories: Copywriting, Illustration, Typography and Motion. And we added Brand Strategy in 2023. Plus we've always rewarded design that makes a meaningful difference with our Social Impact Award. What would you add?

How did we decide this? • 5 points for Best of Show • 3 points for Gold (formerly Winner) • 1 point for Silver (formerly Highly Commended) Bronze Awards were not part of the calculation as these did not exist pre-2020. Our Small Studio of the Decade is Johnson Banks Design 🙌 Known for defining, then designing, brands that make a difference, the small but influential Clapham-based studio founded by Michael Johnson in 1992 has taken home a staggering 19 BIA trophies since 2014 – including nine Golds, two of which went on to be voted Best of Show. A worthy runner-up for Small Studio of the Decade: NB Studio 🎉 Founded in 1997, and still co-owned and led by creative directors Nick Finney and Alan Dye, NB has taken home a total of 14 BIA trophies since the scheme began. Although Best of Show still eludes the Southwark-based team, its seven Gold-winning projects prove the impact that smart, quirky, ideas-driven design solutions can have across a broad range of categories. Marking 10 years of the BIAs, our Client of the Decade is the BBC 🎉 Winning eight trophies in total for a range of different brand projects since 2015, including Best of Show for the BBC Two rebrand by Superunion (now Design Bridge and Partners), and Golds for BBC Sport by Output (2018) and BBC Newsbeat by Moving Brands (2015). Also in contention were London Symphony Orchestra (with multiple wins for The Partners and Superunion, now Design Bridge and Partners) and Mr Lyan Studio (with three wins for Magpie Studio).
