“Zambia, like the rest of the world, is facing a climate emergency which threatens to wipe out our economic gains and condemn our future generations to poverty. There is, therefore, urgent need to protect the livelihoods of our people from the impact of climate change by rebuilding the economy through the utilization of the country’s natural wealth in a sustainable manner.

All Zambians are, therefore, called upon to come together and help protect the environment by planting trees, fast-tracking large scale forest restoration, practicing climatic smart agriculture, serving energy, switching to renewable energy sources, avoid illegal charcoal burning, saving energy and promoting circularity in the economy”.
