2.4 to YK Pathan, gone this time! Pathan tries to pull a short delivery over midwicket but miscues it up in the air for mid-on to run back, keep his eyes on it under the sun, and pouch a simple enough catch. 25/1
4 0 29 1 7.25 8 1 1 2 0
5.4 to RV Uthappa, another one goes! Uthappa tries to hit this one over the infield but totally mistimes it, lobbing it up into the air and Afridi doesnt have to move an inch at extra cover to hold the simplest of catches. 40/2
4 0 30 0 7.50 8 2 1 0 0
3 0 25 0 8.33 7 4 0 0 0
4 0 28 3 7.00 9 2 1 1 1
13.3 to Yuvraj Singh, Gone! That's the big one for Pakistan. Yuvraj, who was a bit quiet against the spinners targets Umar Gul. Yuvraj goes for a big pull to a ball that's banged in about halfway down the pitcth. The ball gets a bit big on the batsman and takes the top edge and goes straight up in the air. Gul takes no chances, calls the catch his own and settles comfortably under it. That's a huge wicket for Pakistan in this big final. 103/3
15.2 to MS Dhoni, Gul on fire! Another big, big wicket for Pakistan as Dhoni has an almighty heave at a full ball and does not quite make contact. The ball is coming in with the angle and homing in on the stumps. If Dhoni had connected that was going out of the ground. As it happens the stumps are shattered and it is Dhoni who has to leave the playing arena. 111/4
17.6 to G Gambhir, Another! low full-toss on the pads, another attempted yorker. Gambhir anticipates the length and plays the paddle sweep. The ball flies to Mohammad Asif at short fine-leg and he takes a sharp catch. India's topscorer is gone and this innings is fast losing momentum. 130/5

0.5 to Mohammad Hafeez, got 'em! RP Singh! Follows up the fullish delivery with one back of a length, getting it to move away every so slightly and Hafeez, with minimal footwork, is tempted into a dab outside off stump only to see the outside-edge fly into Uthappa's safe hands at slip! India get the breakthrough early. 2/1
2.3 to Kamran Akmal, cleaned up! The experiment to send Akmal in at No. 3 flops, as he stands rooted in his crease and plays a poor shot across the line, just an ugly swipe, only to get bowled clean up as he misjudges the bounce! RP gets a second in successive overs and India are loving it!. 26/2
18.5 to Umar Gul, Leg-stump yorker from RP Singh! That's just too good from RP Singh. Umar Gul plays all over this one and loses his leg stump. Fabulous bowling from RP Singh as this match heads to an exciting finish. 141/9
4 1 44 1 11.00 14 4 4 2 0
17.6 to Sohail Tanvir, Comeback! Sreesanth finally gets it right! A quick yorker on the off stump. Tanveer loses his off stump but he's got 12 from only 4 balls and done a fair bit. Can't expect much more than that from him.. 138/8
3.3 0 20 2 5.71 12 1 1 2 0
8.3 to Younis Khan, but he's got his man this time! Joginder bowls it fuller for once and immediately gets Younis, who cant resist thumping it down the ground, not timing it off the middle at all, and mid-on easily pouches it in his lap without movin more than a foot!. 65/4
19.3 to Misbah-ul-Haq, India! It's all over here! Full and on the stumps. Misbah goes for the scoop shot over short fine-leg. That is a risky shot to play with only 6 needed from 4 balls. Straight up in the air and Sreesanth takes the catch. India have won by 5 runs in the inaugural ICC World Twenty20. 152/10

11.3 to Shoaib Malik, short of a good length and outside the off, again this ball does not come onto the bat too well, Shoaib Malik goes for the pull but he's not in control of the shot. The ball goes straight to midwicket and Irfan Pathan has a big, big wicket as this match tilts just a touch in India's favour. 76/5
11.4 to Shahid Afridi, fullish and outside the off stump, Afridi goes for the big hit. He wants to hit this one out of the ground. The contact is no good, though and Afridi has got right under the ball. This one goes high in the air but has no distance on it. It will only get as far as mid-off and Sreesanth takes the catch. That could well be the end of it as far as Pakistan are concerned ... This is a huge moment in this final.. 77/6
15.6 to Yasir Arafat, on the stumps and fullish, Arafat tries to hammer this one over the leg side, he misses and Pathan hits. The stumps are shattered and the Indians converge on Pathan who has just completed and excellent, and probably matchwinning spell. Excellent varations and control and Pakistan are in deep trouble.. 104/7
