tvN names ‘Survivor’ remake cast

Cable network tvN revealed the lineup for its upcoming thriller series “60 Days, Designated Survivor” on Monday.

The lineup includes actors Ji Jin-hee, Lee Jun-hyuk, Huh Joon-ho, Kang Han-na and Bae Jong-ok.

The series is based on the original American series “Designated Survivor.” After the National Assembly building is terrorized by an unknown attack and kills many government officials, the minister of environment - who is one of the survivors - is designated as the temporary president for 60 days. The series features the story of Minister Park Mu-jin (Ji), an intellectual scientist, who does everything to save his country against terrorism after becoming the leader.

Lee will play O Yeong-seok, an ambitious lawmaker whose personality is very different from Park’s. Huh will play the role of Han Ju-seung, the president’s chief secretary - a newly added character.

Kang will play Han Na-gyeong, an agent from the National Intelligence Service’s terror team, while Bae will play Yun Chan-gyeong, a former National Assembly policy adviser.

The series is set to premiere sometime this year.
