KBS inks deal with Daum Webtoons

Daum Webtoons, the drama production company Mega Monster and broadcaster KBS signed MOU on Tuesday to produce one drama each year for the next three years.

The three organizations have come to an agreement in which they will take a comic series from Daum Webtoon, adapt it into a drama and air it on KBS.

The first comic that is set to be made into a TV show is “Dead Man’s Letter,” a popular mystery series that currently has a 9.9 rating from readers.

“This agreement is a huge success for the local webtoon industry,” said Park Jung-seo, CEO of Daum Webtoon. “We will continue to work to discover talented illustrators and their works.”
