Song Joong-ki signs new contract

Actor Song Joong-ki has signed a contract with rookie entertainment agency History D&C, the agency announced on Friday.

“We will do our best to create synergy together and help each other out,” the agency said in a statement.

The rookie agency was established by CEO Hwang Ki-yong, who was previously in charge of the drama production department at the entertainment agency SidusHQ. Hwang and Song got to know each other through working on drama series such as “The Innocent Man” (2012) on KBS, “Tree with Deep Roots” (2011) and “Will It Snow for Christmas?” (2009) on SBS.

Song will resume his acting career this year through the film tentatively titled “Seungriho,” the first local sci-fi film set in space and “Bogota,” which is about young Koreans immigrating to Colombia in the 1990s.
