Actor Park Hae-jin proved Saturday he is the hottest hallyu star in China, with his appearance on a Chinese TV variety show drawing huge interest on mainland TV and the Internet.
The star from the tvN TV drama "Cheese in the Trap," which ended in early March, was a guest on Hunan Broadcasting System's "Happy Camp." With the drama's blockbuster boom in China and Park's role of attractive college student Yoo Jung becoming a sensation among local fans, the latest episode was highly anticipated.
Park showed Chinese fans what he was made of, stealing the hearts of Chinese female celebrities by reprising the romance-charged role of Yoo Jung ― caressing them from behind, kissing their eyes, and combing through their hair with his hands ― as well as showing athleticism with a pull-up bar display and a pillow fight.

"One hundred female college students chanted one name, which is Park Hae-jin," said one the show's hosts, He Jiong, according to online daily OSEN.
Park, among other celebrities on the show, was the only one who dominated the Chinese online real-time keywords chart. Visitors to his blog topped 5 million after the show, with Park thanking Chinese fans on his Weibo site and asking them not to let go of his hands.
Park will hold a fan meeting on April 23 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut. The free event will be at Olympic Park, Seoul.
Youku, one of China's largest video-sharing sites, and smartphone app V, an online broadcasting channel run by Korea's biggest portal site Naver, will stream the event live worldwide.
