Xiumin of K-pop boy group EXO is set to make his big screen debut in the upcoming local film “Kimsundal.”

Xiumin, who is currently appearing in JTBC’s variety program “Crime Scene,” has been cast in a supporting role for the movie. He will reportedly play a close friend of Kim Sun-dal (played by Yoo Seung-ho), who looks up to Kim, according to industry insiders.

With the film, the EXO member will be the sixth EXO member to jump onto the big screen following fellow EXO members Dio, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Suho and Lay.

The cast of “Kimsundal” includes Yoo Seung-ho, Ko Chang-suk and Ra Mi-ran.

Based on the eponymous classical novel, the historical film set in the time of the Joseon dynasty will star Yoo Seung-ho in the leading role. The drama is due to start filming in June.
