Song Joong-ki to donate to earthquake victims in China

Actor Song Joong-ki will donate a portion of the proceeds from his “2016 Asian Tour Fan Meeting” to a Chinese charity foundation that helps those affected by the 2008 earthquake in Sichuan, China, his agency Blossom Entertainment said.

However, it declined to reveal the amount of his donation.

Song has made charity donations in the past. He donated all of the commission he earned from being featured in the May 13th episode of the Chinese variety show “Hurry Up, Brother” to an unnamed charity.

He has also been donating to the Korean Childhood Leukemia Foundation since 2011. More than 10 children have received cancer treatment due to Song’s charity.

Song also donated 100 million won ($83,000) to UNICEF to help casualties of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. He also donated all the money he made from narrating a Korea documentary series “Tears of the Antarctic,” which aired from 2011 to 2013.
