Ji Hyun-woo and Lee Si-young are to star in the new TV series “Life-and-death Romance” (tentative title).

Ji plays a talented surgeon, while Lee takes on the role of an endocrinologist, who believes that life is decided by hormones, in the new Monday-Tuesday medical-romance drama.

The story begins as the endocrinologist picks the surgeon as a research subject, thinking that he is a unique character that should be studied.

The series marks Lee’s return to the entertainment scene after giving birth to her first child in January. It will also be the second time for the two actors to work together; they starred together in the KBS series “Becoming a Billionaire” in 2010.
“Life-and-death Romance” is set to start airing in July on MBC network.
