Taemin of SHINee lands atop Oricon’s daily albums chart

Lee Tae-min of SHINee landed atop Oricon’s daily albums chart Thursday with his eponymous solo album “Taemin,” released a day earlier.

The SHINee vocalist’s first full-length Japanese album lists 12 tracks consisting of original Japanese songs and Japanese versions of previous hits in Korean. The album is fronted by two lead tracks: “Under My Skin” and “Into the Rhythm.”

Lee debuted as a solo artist in August 2014 with the EP “Ace,” six years after his debut with SHINee in 2008. He has since released two full Korean albums and two Japanese EPs.

The 25-year-old recently wrapped up his first solo concert tour in Japan dubbed “Taemin: Japan 1st Tour ‘Sirius’” and returned home Tuesday. He staged a total of 32 sold-out shows over three months.
