Mark Allen won the World Amateur title early in December

World Amateur snooker champion Mark Allen defeated Kieran McMahon 6-1 in the final of the Barry McNamee Memorial Trophy in Dungannon on Thursday night. Allen, who defeated Joe Swail in the semi-final, led 2-0 after breaks of 93 and 75.
McMahon then knocked in a 57 break to peg back a frame but there was no stopping Allen.
Breaks of 48, 41, 110 and 81 secured the £1000 winner's cheque for the Antrim teenager.
