The Vision

The Times of India Film Awards is a global IPR envisioned to be the definitive awards platform felicitating the Bollywood fraternity.

The Mission

The Times of India Film Awards will be held at international destinations, thus taking the charm of Bollywood to global destinations and engaging with the global Indian, south Asian communities and fans of Bollywood across the world.

The Objective

The Times of India Film Awards will serve to connect with the global film communities and further popularize Bollywood in international destinations and communities.

The Process

The Times of India Film Awards is envisioned to be popular choice awards where Bollywood fans across the world vote on the nomination categories to determine the winners of the popular choice categories.

The nominations for popular choice categories would be derived from popular films during the calendar year, the process would be driven by TOIFA Honorary Advisory Board Members (comprising of Bollywood industry veterans and other eminent personalities).

The Times of India Film Awards will be an all encompassing awards function, where technical awards are also awarded. The technical awards would be determined by the TOIFA Honorary Advisory Board Members in conjunction with audit partners.

The Event

The Times of India Film Awards will be held over 3-4 days (typically a weekend), where there are certain engaging activities preceding the main awards ceremony. There would also be other activities/events taking place prior to the awards weekend to promote the awards in India and at the destination/host country.

The Promotion

The Times of India Film Awards will be promoted extensively using The Times Group media platforms which include:
Print: The Times of India, The Times of India metro supplements (Bombay Times, Delhi Times, Bangalore Times etc.), ET Travel, Filmfare, special supplements and other print publications

  • Television: Zoom TV, Times Now & ET Now
  • Radio: Radio Mirchi
  • Online/Digital: Timesofindia.indiatimes.com, Indiatimes.com, TOIFA website, TOIFA social networking pages, other digital/online properties with The Times of India.

In addition, other promotional avenues with media houses in the host destination country, global media and other Indian media would be utilised to promote the event.
