"The Greatest Love" snags 7 honors at 2011 MBC Drama Awards

TV series "The Greatest Love" took home seven honors at the 2011 MBC Drama Awards held over the weekend including this year's drama of the year.

At the awards ceremony held at MBC's Dream Center located in Ilsan of the Gyeong-gi Province, actor Cha Seung-won and actress Kong Hyo-jin went on stage to claim the prize for best drama of 2011. "I thank everyone who worked really hard on the show including actors Yoo In-na, Yoon Kye-sang and Jung Jun-ha as well as the producers and staff. We also want to thank the audience for showing great interest in the show," Kong and Cha said in their acceptance speech.

Kong and Cha also received the top excellence award for actor and actress, respectively, for their roles in "The Greatest Love" which told the love story between a top celebrity and a former idol singer.

The series also won the writer award, child actor award, popularity award and best couple award. - List of Winners for the 2011 MBC Drama Awards
