Kang Hye-jung, Lee Gyu-han’s “The Wedding Scheme” to air on April 2

Upcoming drama “The Wedding Scheme” starring actress Kang Hye-jung and actor Lee Gyu-han will hit the small screen on a cable network in early April.

Kang’s agency YG Entertainment announced through a press release on Wednesday that Kang and Lee’s starrer “The Wedding Scheme” will begin its run on the Monday and Tuesday lineup on tvN starting April 2, after the current hit series “Shut Up and Let’s Go” ends its run in March. Kang plays a career woman named Yoon Geun-hee, who is forced to move in with the candidates of her future husband, along with three of her other sisters.

The upcoming comedy series will mark Kang’s return to the small screen in a year after starring in MBC’s TV drama “Miss Ripley.”

Kang made her debut as a magazine model in 1997 and led a successful career on the silver screen with notable works in "Old Boy" (2003) and “Welcome to Dongmakgol” (2005). "The Wedding Scheme" is also the second drama for actor Lee this year since starring in SBS' weekend series "When Tomorrow Comes," which began its run in October 2011
