Actor Kang Ji-hwan and actress Sung Yu-ri are ready to hit the road with their upcoming comedy flick "Runway Cop."
"Runway Cop," which also stars actors Lee Soo-hyuk and Kim Young-kwang, is slated to hit the big screen late next month, according to the film's promoter CJ Entertainment on Wednesday.
His obese body, in the shape of the letter 'D,' and his 'life-threatening' odors are all that he has, but he is a tenacious secret agent who even goes through an extreme make-over to transform into a glamorous, but plus-sized, fashion model.
“Runway Cop” is the second feature for director Shin Tae-ran and actor Kang to team up after the duo’s huge hit “My Girlfriend is an Agent” in 2009.
In the poster released today, a silhouette of detective Cha is posing like a model with his finger pointing the sky and the other arm lightly put on his waist.
The pic's promoter added in the statement they sent this morning that actor Kang intentionally gained over 20 pounds to better express the character's image and live up to the fans' hype.
"Runway Cop" was filmed between October in 2011 and January this year, and the exact date of its premiere will be announced later by CJ Entertainment.
