Korean actor Jung Suk-won will co-star in Cho Yeo-jung and Kim Kang-woo's upcoming TV series on KBS, according to his agency Forestar Entertainment.
Forestar said in a statement on Monday that Jung has been cast to play Choi Jung-hyuk, who is a lawyer and branch manager of a hotel located in Busan, in the "Lovers of Haeundae" (tentative title).
While he tries hard to get his parents' approval, Choi gets involved in a love triangle with Go So-ran (Cho) and Lee Tae-sung (Kim).
Go is the daughter of a gang member living in the city of Busan while she comes into contact with Lee, who begins to live with her family after suffering from memory loss.
Jung made his debut through a drama in 2008 and has played several weighty supporting roles including in "Doctor Champ" (SBS, 2010) and "Midas" (SBS, 2011).
Meanwhile, his action pic "R2B: Return to Base," co-starring singer and actor Rain, is slated to open in theaters on August 9.
