Champion Arizona Rattlers to parade through Phoenix

The first parade in Rattlers' history will be held Wednesday, starting at 4 p.m., and will wrap around US Airways Center, where they've played their home games since they began in 1992.

This is in celebration of the Rattlers' third consecutive ArenaBowl championship, won Saturday 72-32 in Cleveland against the Gladiators before more than 18,000 fans at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Rattlers players and coaches will be driven around the downtown Phoenix business area, starting at the arena. It will run to Madison, go north on Central to Van Buren and head to 1st Street and CityScape.

After the parade, a news conference will take place at approximately 4:45.

According to ArenaFan.com, the Rattlers, who now have won more titles (five) than any team in Arena Football League history, own ArenaBowl records for most points in history (458), most points in the second quarter (30), winning by the greatest margin (40), most points scored in the first half (44).

ArenaFan.com also wrote that quarterback Nick Davila is the first quarterback to win three consecutive ArenaBowls as a starter and is the career leader for completions (87), yards (1,156) and touchdown passes (31).
